Former Manchester United captain, Patrice Evra, recalled that October 2011 incident where Suarez was banned for some games after racially abusing him during a match between United and Liverpool. The next time the two teams met in February 2012, Suarez snubbed Evra’s handshake while United defender Ferdinand, on seeing what was happening, refused to shake Suarez when it was his turn for the pre-match greetings. Evra who now plays for Juventus yesterday buried the hatchet and congratulated Suarez on winning the Spanish Golden Boot award with his club, Barcelona.
